Cesc and his 'fake small team' await Juve for Sunday brunch by the lake

Como and Juventus open today's Serie A menu with an early kickoff (1.30 pm). The Bianconeri are unbeaten this season, but haven't won their last five games

Is there a better way to enjoy a lovely, early Sunday afternoon than by the lake, one of the most beautiful in Europe? Well, Juventus and its fans probably would disagree, as they are about to face Como in the opening game of Serie A's Sunday programme (1.30 pm).

Only three points separate those two sides going into the match, and Cesc Fabregas' team is more than eager to take down the giant.

Interestingly, the Bianconeri are still unbeaten in 2025-26, but they haven't recorded a single win in their previous five games across all competitions. Another draw, sixth in a row, would be a massive blow for Igor Tudor and his men.

"It's a tough game. Como are a fake small team. They've spent a lot of money, and the coach personally chose all the players, which is rare and a really good thing. We respect them, but we want to go there and play our game," Juventus coach Tudor said before the game.

The Croat is aware of the situation and the criticism from the press and the fans, as they expect nothing but wins.

"Normally, people talk about Juventus, even those who aren't coaches or directors," he said.

"That's the beauty of football. Everyone has their own idea about what's best to do, but the coach knows the players better than anyone.

"Everyone says: 'We are Juventus, we have to win.' That's right. If you don't win all the discussions, it means very little, but I have to give my perspective and explain it. Those who are intellectually honest will understand. For a coach, it's difficult. If you don't win at Juve, you can say whatever you want, but you are still wrong."

Tudor is satisfied with his players' availability for the Como tie.

"Few players were here [during the break], we needed to recover, so we gave the players some days off. McKennie arrived yesterday, and everyone came back in good shape, without injuries. We've had two training sessions together to prepare for the match."
