CECAFA U23: Ingwe midfielder savouring facing Emerging Stars

Saad Musa will face Kenya for the first time since acquiring South Sudan citizenship.
AFC Leopards midfielder Saad Musa will come up against familiar foes on Wednesday 21 July when his South Sudan side will take on Emerging Stars in the ongoing CECAFA Under 23 tournament.
Musa acquired South Sudan citizenship back in 2020 after the country opted to naturalize a number of players including Ugandan born Tito Okello who turns out for Gor Mahia.
The Ingwe midfielder made his debut for South Sudan back in November 2020 as they fell to Uganda in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Musa revealed that he is eager to come up against players he knows like the back of his hands but noted that he will do little to help the technical bench in the tactical approach.
“It’s a good feeling obviously playing against your friends and teammates it will be good meeting them again." He said.

Musa is not the only player featuring in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) as Mathare United forward Dani Lual was also drafted in the U23 side.
The former Thika United midfielder is hoping to impress in the tournament to secure a starting berth in the senior side where he has witnessed limited game time.
“I have had a nice time playing for the senior South Sudan National team but we came to help the U23 side to get something out of the tournament,” added Musa.
