The Les Bleus captain was forced off the pitch in the 77th minute of last night's World Cup quarter-final game against Morocco (2-0), and was later seen sitting on the bench with ice strapped to his foot
Last night, France once again demonstrated why they are considered the top favourites to win the World Cup. Morocco held firm during the opening half, with Yassine Bounou denying Kylian Mbappe's penalty, but the six-minute blitzkrieg after the break sealed the Atlas Lions' World Cup fate.
Les Bleus were dominant throughout the game, and it seemed only a matter of time before they broke their rivals' resistance.
Following the 2-0 triumph, everyone in France is naturally satisfied, and the confidence is sky-high ahead of the semi-finals against one of their neighbours, either Spain or Belgium. The focus is on the analysis of the win against Morocco, but also on one burning question that looms over the delight:
Is Mbappe okay?

With eight goals and three assists so far in the tournament, the Real Madrid superstar has been the most productive player and is tied with Lionel Messi at the top of the scoring charts.
Nevertheless, according to The Athletic, France supporters can breathe a sigh of relief, as both national team head coach Didier Deschamps and Mbappe himself have reassured everyone that the injury wasn't serious.

“I have a minor ankle injury, but I’m completely fine," Mbappe revealed.
With those concerns put to rest, the French can now concentrate on their bid for the world title and turn their attention to tonight's showdown between Spain and Belgium (22.00), which will determine their next opponents.
