Buoyant Reds eye Bologna as their next prey

Reading Time: 3min | Wed. 02.10.24. | 12:18

Liverpool aim to extend the current four-win streak, while numerous Reds' players continually make significant progress

Arne Slot has finally found the perfect recipe - or at least it seems so. His team suffered only one defeat in eight games played this season over three different competitions (Premier League, EFL Cup, and Champions League) and currently sits in the top PL spot. Apart from the excellent form and results, the Dutch strategist can be thrilled with his players' individual progress, which eventually makes the team look exceptionally good on the pitch.

Ryan Gravenberch put in an impressive performance in Saturday's triumph at Molineux Stadium over Wolverhampton, deservedly being named "Man of the Match." Moreover, the Dutchman has already been considered one of the best midfielders in European football, even though he is still getting used to Slot's demands regarding his position.

With a goal against the Wolves, Mohamed Salah equalled Sergio Aguero's score of 231 goal involvements for a single club in the Premier League, putting himself in the sixth position in total. Apart from that, no PL player had more touches in the opposition box than the Egyptian.

Finally, Luis Diaz equalled James Rodriguez's 2015 record for most valuable Colombian player ever (€80 million euros), thanks to his outstanding performances and five netted goals in six Premier League appearances.

These were only some of the examples that show how Slot and his players keep progressing and lifting Liverpool to a higher level. And even though these records and achievements may seem irrelevant, they still increase the entire team's motivation and confidence. So, in the end, all that can be said is: Brace yourselves, Bologna.
