Bullish Bobby tips fancied Police FC to engage higher gear in debut season

Kenya Police FC head coach Bobby Ogolla believes there is still more than enough room for improvement for his side after getting a footing in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.

Police Fc recorded their third win of the season on Sunday following an emphatic 3-0 victory over Bidco united who are on to their second season in the top tier league having made their debut last season.

Despite the resounding victory, the experienced Ogolla reiterated that there is still more work to be done in terms of how the team takes chances in the game to ensure they are competitive in the league.

After conceding in every other game that they have played this season, Police managed to keep a clean sheet against the Anthony Akhulia-coached side to the delight of Ogolla.

"We won by three goals and kept a clean sheet. However, there is a lot of room for improvement and I believe the players will do it. We always get chances in other games and we lose from our silly mistakes after having squandered so many scoring chances. Our effort brought us a lot of luck. every win makes you go up and that is what we are praying for and we will be working towards," Ogolla told Mozzart Sport.

The win and the clean sheet will definitely come as a big morale boost for the flashy Police who have collected back-to-back points in the last three consecutive games, in the win against Kariobangi Sharks, the draw against Wazito, and the win against Bidco recently.

Expectations were high that Police would take the league by storm after they made some high-profile signings before the start of the league, bringing on board the likes of John Makwata, Clifton Miheso, Duncan Otieno, Musa Mohamed and Duke Abuya.

Up next for Police is a midweek clash against Posta rangers next week at Ruaraka Grounds.
