It's been an emotional last couple of days for the pair of Brazilians plying trade in the English Premier League
It's uncommon to see football players cry, though it happens occasionally, especially after some excruciating losses. However, the reasons behind the tears of the Brazilian duo Richarlison-Antony have nothing to do with the result of their national side.
The Selecao dismantled Bolivia 5-1 in the maiden qualifying tie for the FIFA 2026 World Cup, but the Tottenham forward and the Manchester United winger have their own issues and inner battles.

Richarlison was seen in tears in the dugout after being substituted against Bolivia following his dreadful miss in the second half. Footage of the chance shows how the home supporters' screams of glorious anticipation quickly turned to jeers after the shocking miss.
Tears are definitely there...On the other hand, his attacking partner Antony was brought to tears during a TV interview while denying all allegations of abuse levelled at him by several women.
Antony's ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin recently came out and claimed that the United winger assaulted her on four occasions. Since then, two more women have come forward and made similar allegations, Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana.
...just like here, too (©Screenshot/TV Fofocalizando)With tears in his eyes, the 23-year-old spoke to Brazilian TV show Fofocalizando and said: "It's something that doesn't cross my mind.
"I know the truth and it will show up. I know there are a lot of people butchering me, but the truth comes out."
Antony went on to talk about violence towards women and added: "I don't support this ever. It's totally wrong, 100 per cent wrong.
"I have a mother, and a sister, and I would never want this to happen to them."
There have been allegations that United sent club doctors to attend to Cavallin after she insisted that she was badly injured.
But Antony claimed: "I wanted to go and told her that I had obligations and had to go, so she took plates and cups and threw them on the ground and I grabbed her in order to calm her down. I didn't hurt her."
