The former Mara Sugar centre back returns to the team after missing the last four league games.

Fast-rising Nairobi City Stars defender Timothy Muganda is fit enough and ready for playing time in their tie against KCB on Sunday.

The former Mara Sugar centre back returns to the team after missing the last four league games.

Other players who are back in the team to face the bankers are Dennis Wanjala and Gilbert Abala.

The two weren’t available when City Stars played Shabana to a 2-2 draw last weekend at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay.

While coach Nicholas Muyoti will be happy to have the three back, he will have to do without the services of the injured Newton Ochieng and Elvis Noor, who is ill.

Both teams will be seeking to get back to winning ways after dropping points last weekend.

While City Stars held Shabana to a 2-2 draw, KCB played four-time league winners Ulinzi Stars to a 1-1 draw.

According to statistics provided by the club, Simba wa Nairobi will be hosting KCB for the 14th time in the Kenyan top flight and for the first time since last season’s encounter held at the same facility on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

City Stars have won five of the previous 13 games as host, with KCB winning an equal number. Three of those wins are from their last three visits to Simba wa Nairobi in the last three seasons.

The game will later pave the way for the clash pitting Kariobangi Sharks against Mozzart Bet Cup champions Kakamega Homeboyz.
