Could Barcelona be gearing up to land a Manchester City star? Bernardo Silva might be a summer steal, with his contract at the Premier League champions set to expire at the end of the season. But is Barca ready to make a move?
Spanish outlet Sport reports that Silva has already expressed his willingness to leave City through his agent, Jorge Mendes, and is now waiting on the club’s response. This isn’t the first time Silva’s name has been linked to the Catalan giants, but the latest report suggests a transfer may not be imminent.

While no one questions his talent, Barcelona currently have no plans to reinforce their midfield. The club, still carrying significant debt, appears committed to relying on homegrown prospects and existing squad members. Only a surprising exit could create the opening Silva would need to join.
In recent weeks, Silva has reportedly attracted several offers, including one from Italian powerhouse Juventus. Rumors have also linked him to a return to his boyhood club Benfica or a move to Saudi Arabia.
The Portuguese midfielder seems keen to leave the Premier League this summer and embark on a new chapter. Back in September, he hinted at his intentions: “I know exactly what I’m going to do, but now is not the time to talk about it. It’s time to focus on Man City and give my best to get the club back to where it belongs.”
Pep Guardiola: “I sleep better when I decide to play @BernardoCSilva and I have to take care of my health.

“He’s another type, a competitor, he has fire in his eyes still. Hopefully he can inoculate this fire to the rest of the group. How we defend every ball, read what we have…
Since joining Manchester City in 2017, Silva has become a key figure for the Citizens, racking up 73 goals and 77 assists in 438 competitive appearances. Currently, City sit second in the Premier League, with Silva continuing to play a crucial role in their campaign.
