The Englishman has become the most expensive signing in the Istanbul club's history
He may no longer be wanted in England, but Mason Greenwood is slowly but surely rebuilding his career abroad.
Following his Manchester United exit, the forward's route included spells in Spain (Getafe) and France (Olympique Marseille), while his newest destination is Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce.

Last night, the Istanbul club unveiled Greenwood, who has arrived from Marseille in a €40 million deal, becoming the most expensive signing in Fenerbahce's history and the second-most expensive signing in Turkish football history, just behind Victor Osimhen, for whom Galatasaray paid €75 million to Napoli a year ago.
At the same time, the Englishman became Marseille's biggest-ever sale, surpassing names such as Michy Batshuayi, Didier Drogba, Frank Ribery...
He was L'OM's key figure and one of the best players in Ligue 1. During his two-year spell in France, Greenwood scored 48 goals and provided 17 assists in 81 appearances, and now is expected to deliver in Turkey as well.
Fenerbahce won their last Turkish Super Lig title 13 years ago, and the 24-year-old's primary task will be to end that wait and challenge Galatasaray's dominance.
The star-studded squad, including Nathan Ake, N'Golo Kante, Matteo Guendouzi, Fred, Marco Asensio, Anderson Talisca, and others, needed a natural leader on the pitch. Greenwood is supposed to take on that role.
Is he up to the task? We may find out very soon.
