Unlike a number of players, Fulham's Mexican apparently feels no pressure when he takes responsibility and approaches the penalty spot
Penalties in football are a tricky thing. No matter how efficient and lethal a player is for the rivals, it still doesn't guarantee he'll be calm and focused enough to easily convert spot kicks game after game.
After all, just look at the recent examples. Brahim Diaz scored five goals at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and won the tournament's Golden Boot, but failed to send home the crucial penalty for Morocco in the grand final against Senegal.
Como's Nico Paz has been exceptional this season, scoring eight Serie A goals (second leading scorer behind Lautaro Martinez), while Real Madrid think about getting him back. Still, he took three penalties in the campaign and wasted all of them.
However, as always, there's the other side of the coin. There is a player who is unlike most others. While they feel pressure approaching the spot, he is apparently as relaxed as it gets. His name is Raul Jimenez, he plays for Fulham, and he netted his 12th Premier League penalty two days ago against Manchester United, extending his flawless spot-kick score to 12/12!

At the same time, the Mexican has set the new EPL perfect record, overtaking Yaya Toure's 11/11.
Jimenez converted seven penalties with Wolverhampton and five with Fulham, finding the net against eight different teams and winning duels against some renowned goalkeepers, like Hugo Lloris, Nick Pope, Jordan Pickford, and others.
