The Catalans found the money and agreed personal terms with former Manchester's star
The Manchester United player who is spending this season on loan at FC Barcelona has impressed both the club’s management and head coach Hansi Flick, and it has been definitively decided that the club will move to sign him permanently. According to Mundo Deportivo, that part of the deal has already been finalized. Barcelona have reached an agreement with Manchester United to activate the 30 million euros purchase clause, which will be paid in three installments over the next year.

In addition, Barcelona have also agreed personal terms with Marcus Rashford regarding his salary, meaning that all three parties are satisfied. However, there is a fourth factor still to consider. For everything to be completed successfully, the Catalan club must fit the transfer fee and the player’s wages within Financial Fair Play regulations — rules that have caused Barcelona major problems in recent years. More precisely, the club from Camp Nou has struggled seriously to comply with them.
The former golden boy of English football and once one of Manchester United’s brightest prospects has been playing very well in Barcelona. This season, Rashford has already recorded a double-double performance with 10 goals and 11 assists, and the end of the season is not yet in sight. Barcelona initially loaned Marcus Rashford until June 30, but as things stand, their fans are likely to see him wearing the red-and-blue shirt for several more years. It’s interesting that interim manager Michael Carrick spoke highly of Rashford just a few days ago and remembered the time when he broke out as the teenager to United’s squad. It was perceived that Carrick wouldn’t mind having the talented forward back in June, but this deal now means it won’t happen. After all, Carrick is only an interim manager and nobody knows for sure will he be appointed as a permanent solution after the end of the season.
