A first-half brace from Erisat Orute was all Moroccan tactician, Mohammed Borji, needed to secure his maiden win with the Dockers since his appointment in October, replacing Ken Odhiambo.
Orute opened the scoring in style in the fourth minute.
Operating from the left wing, the former Serani Secondary School talent glided past three defenders on the far flank, controlled the ball calmly, and drove toward goal from a tight angle.
He then squeezed his effort through the legs of goalkeeper Victor Kamungo to hand Bandari the lead.
In the 20th minute, again charging down his favourite channel, Andrew Juma picked him out with a long ball.
Orute brought it down brilliantly with his left foot, teased the defenders, lifted his head, and spotted Kamungo off his line.
He unleashed a stunning effort from the edge of the box that looped over the goalkeeper and into the far-right corner to double Bandari’s advantage.
The two goals were enough to seal all three points and ease early-season pressure on Borji, who had opened his reign with three draws and one defeat.
Borji began his tenure with a barren draw against AFC Leopards, repeated the same scoreline against Mara Sugar, then suffered a 3-1 defeat away to Nairobi United before settling for a 1-1 draw with KCB FC last weekend.
The poor start forced the coach into drastic changes, at one point relegating some senior players to the youth team and promoting five juniors.
Among the promoted players was Orute, whose goals have now lifted the coastal side to 12th on the standings with 10 points.
Sofapaka remain 10th with 11 points.
Posta Rangers 1-1 Mara Sugar
At Kasarani Annex, Posta Rangers and Mara Sugar settled for a 1-1 draw in a cagey encounter.
Brian Chonjo gave the Mailmen the lead in the 42nd minute, before Mara's captain Drona Openda equalised from the penalty spot in the 64th minute.
The result leaves Posta, who started the season brightly, winless in five matches, having collected two defeats and three stalemates in that run.
Mara Sugar, on the other hand, extended their unbeaten streak to six matches, a run consisting of two wins and four draws.
Posta remain third on 13 points, while Mara sit eighth with 11 points.
