If he chooses, England captain could come back to England in 2026
Harry Kane thought long and about leaving Tottenham, where he did all he could year after year but without a reward. Spurs just couldn’t win any trophy and the England international wanted more. So in August 2023 he finally decided to leave and after a long and hard barging, now ex director Daniel Levy managed to secure 87 million pounds for Kane who went to Bayern Munich. So far, the journey has been excellent and it may continue for years to come, but in case the England captain decides that he should come back to his homeland, he will be able to do it reasonably easy and for a relatively small amount.

German newspapers Bild recently revealed that the player has a secret clause in his contract which will allow him to go back to England in May 2026. So far, there is no indications that something like that will happen, mainly due to the fact that he is enjoying life in Bavaria where he is scoring goals for fun and his family also settled.
“I'm really happy here in Munich. My family has settled down. My kids are loving it here in school, so yes, this is my life here for the foreseeable future” he said to the reporters back in May.
He has become a fan favourite in Munich, largely thanks to the fact he has smashed in 98 goals in 103 games. He is already on 13 this season at club level, almost twice as many as Erling Haaland but if something extraordinary happens, or he gets a fantastic offer from the Premier League, he could come back next year. Bild claims that Kane can leave Bayern for 56.7 million pounds in May as long as he announces his intention to leave before the end of the winter transfer window. In the same piece, Bild's sports editor calls for Bayern to actually extend Kane's deal until 2028, believing he can keep up his prolific scoring until his mid-late 30’s.
The €95 million price tag for Harry Kane must seem like a bargain now 😪

One of the reasons for his comeback could be not only his homeland, but also Alan Shearer’s record. Former Newcastle striker is currently the Premier League’s goalscorer with 260, but when Kane went to Germany in 2023, his tally was 213, which was just 47 less than Shearer. Scoring almost 50 goals in lets say two seasons in the Premier League wouldn’t be a big problem for Kane, if he decides to come back. And the price for such a player wouldn’t be so high too.
