N'Golo Kante now has a Malian ID
It was a deeply personal visit, but you can trust the social media and curious locals to turn anything into a well-reported event. Such was a visit of Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante to Mali, the country of his origins.

He went Bamako, Mali's capital, then Kayes, where his father and brother were buried and prayed at their graves. pic.twitter.com/nbMaVJ1wb0
The French international used the international break to travel back to Africa and visit the graves of his father and brother.
While he was in Bamako, the footballer used the opportunity to apply for a national ID that makes him a bit closer to the land of his fathers. Of course, while at the police station, everyone wanted to say hello and have their picture taken with one of the best players in the world.

The people who met Kante say that he was very pleasant to talk to and that he's down to earth and modest. That's what we expected from one of the good guys in the sport.
Kante has been given permission to miss tonight's Les Bleus friendly against Ivory Coast, but he will be available for the next friendly against South Africa in Lille.
