Former Bayern Munich coach was on the verge of taking charge of the German national team, but tables have dramatically turned in the last 24 hours

Hansi Flick has left Bayern Munich, and it was believed that he would continue his career in the German national team since Joachim Low will pack his bags after the European Championship.

However, there could be a sudden twist in the whole story! Several sources from Western Europe launched information today that Flick has become the number one candidate for the new Barcelona's tactician!

Blaugrana's president Joan Laporta announced that the club is embarking on a new project, a new beginning.

"This is the end of the cycle. We are starting from the beginning," Laporta said.

After the definite failure in the title race, it became clear that the episode of Ronald Koeman as a man in charge is over and that the club will look for a new head coach.

And in that whole story, the paths of Hansi Flick and Joan Laporta somehow intersected. The Spaniards write that the initial conversation between the two sides has already taken place. Flick did not sign a contract with the Football Association of Germany. He is a free "shooter" and can choose where to continue his career; he has no obligation to Die Mannschaft.

The initial conversation reportedly went very well, and Flick was interested in Barca's offer. There is still a long way to go. The German Football Federation will not give up so easily in this fight.

If nothing else, it is evident in which direction the Catalan giant is moving in search of a new coach: they need someone with experience winning trophies at the highest level.
