Gunners might unload half a dozen players to save up for the upcoming transfer window
Arsenal could be letting as mush as six players go to collect enough funds to make at least two major signings. As Football London reports, some of the players meant to be sold are expected, some not that much.
The Gunners' current campaign has been a complete failure - Mikel Arteta's squad are sitting 10th but they are in the Europa League semi-finals, which could give something for the supporters to hold on to.
Spaniard wants to strengthen his ranks and in order to improve club's funds - some players need to go.
Names such as Eddie Nketiah, Matteo Guendouzi, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Lucas Torreira are on the list for a reason.
However, Alexandre Lacazette, who will enter the final year of his contract in June, could also leave as his selling could bring most money out of all six.
Last but not least, Hector Bellerin could also be sent away and by adding all the numbers - the sum could rise to a more than decent amount of around 167 million USD (25 billion KSH). Last two mentioned footballers are reportedly wanted by Barcelona and PSG.
Arsenal need the funds to reach a permanent transfer of Real Madrid's creative midfielder Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal. With the Norwegian in mind, North Londoners are monitoring the situation with Inter Milan's Achraf Hakimi
Emirates club has announced a 66.7 million USD (10 billion KSH) loss after tax for the 2019-20 season in March as football clubs are still feeling the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic with fans still prohibited from attending matches.
But - for the Gunners there could be some light at the end of the tunnel. Spotify owner Daniel Ek stated has the funds teaming up with club legends Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira to launch his sensational bid to buy the Gunners from Stan Kroenke.
Kroenke is far from favoured in North London - massive protests took place lately around the stadium triggered by the scandalous decision of the board of executives and owners to join the European Super League.
Once a major Premier League and Champions League contenders, now Europa League regulars, Arsenal are looking for ways to return to glory by making radical changes.
