Gunners are also looking at Leicester's James Maddison
The Gunners are desperately trying to buy midfielder (or two) and (at least) one defender. With both Ceballos and Odegaard back in Real with a little possibility of coming back, while Xhaka deal to Roma soon to be finalized, Arsenal are trying to rebuild the middle of the field for next season. After Nabil Fekir, Sander Berge and Ruben Neves, new names on the list are James Maddison and Eduardo Camavinga. Arsenal’s captain David Luiz also left the club leaving a void which sporting director Edu is trying to cover with Ben White.
The midfielder search in intensive and it started basically as soon as the season was over. Of all midfield options, Neves seemed like the most likely to happen, but it hasn’t materialized yet. And now it appears that the Gunners are ‘fishing’ with a lot of fishing rods, as new names emerges every day. Latest ones are James Maddison from Leicester and Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes. While Foxes star is maybe a bit unrealistic, it seems that Edu already submitted an offer for Camavinga of around 7.5 billion, as per le10sport.com, but it was rejected instantly. The 18-years old midfielder is regarded as one of the most promising young stars in the world, and already attracted bigger clubs than Arsenal, so Rennes are hoping that some of them will offer more money than the Gunners.

In defense, England’s center-back Ben White is a main target as Sky Sports reports that the Gunners submitted an offer to Brighton, but their 6 billion evaluation was quickly rejected by the Seagulls. Brighton is looking for more than 6 billion, in fact they are hoping for around 8, so they will probably meet in the middle, at around 7.
In the departure column, Granit Xhaka is on his way to Rome, but maybe not that quickly, since Roma is offering too little. At the moment, the Italians have submitted only 2 billion KSH, much shorter than Arsenal expected for a player they signed for 5.3 billion in 2016. On the other side, Jose Mourinho is also looking at Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz as an alternative. Matteo Guendouzi is also on his way from London, and the midfielder who spent last season on loan in Hertha Berlin has agreed personal terms with Marseille, but the clubs are yet to agree on a fee.
And after securing Emi Buendia ahead of Arsenal, Aston Villa are in a bullying mood, and tried to buy Emille Smith-Rowe from the Gunners. The Villains submitted a 3.8 billion Ksh, but were quickly rejected, as the North London club sees the player as his future star and will offer him a new contract soon.
