The custodian has signed a one-year deal with second-tier side

Kenyan International Arnold Origi has officially joined Norwegian second-tier side Hødd FC on a season-long deal.

The club announced the development recently on their portal.

“We have had a challenging goalkeeper situation after Ole Monrad Alme was put out of action with a long-term injury. We are proud to present Arnold Origi as a Hødd player. The 37-year-old has a long career in Norwegian top football having featured for Moss, Fredrikstad, Ull / Kisa, Lillestrøm, Sandnes / Ulf and Kongsvinger,” Hødd Head Coach Kevin Knappen said,

"The last two seasons he has played for HIFK in the Finnish top league and has 36 international caps for Kenya. He is a very good goalkeeper with an extreme physique and will to win. We know him best from his time in LSK and he has trials at Crystal Palace in the Premier League. We have said we will always have the best goalkeeper in the league, we had that last year and we have it now.” He added.

Origi has been clubless since parting ways with Finnish side HIFK late last year. He has been on holiday in Kenya since then and made a return to the National team Harambee Stars as they lost to Comoros in back-to-back AFCON Qualifiers.

He has spent most of his time in Kenya mentoring young goalkeepers.
