Ange's termination letter signed by Bruno, lucky Grealish ends Palace's amazing run

Newcastle beat Nottingham 2-0, which probably means the end of the road for Postecoglou. Everton hand Oliver Glasner's side their first loss of the season (2-1)

This must be the end of the road for Ange Postecoglou, who got lost in Evangelos Marinakis' Forest.

Unlike Ruben Amorim, whose players made sure the Portuguese tactician survived the ultimate test against Sunderland on Saturday, Postecoglou's men didn't do a thing to save their current boss at St. James' Park on Sunday.

Instead of fighting to change Ange's destiny, the Tricky Trees succumbed to despair as the Magpies routinely rushed to a much-deserved 2-0 win. With only five points on their account after seven Premier League rounds, Nottingham Forest are already seriously flirting with relegation and their head coach is on the verge of a much-anticipated sacking during the international break.

The name on Ange's termination letter is that of Bruno Guimaraes, who scored the opener and was taken down later in the box for a penalty, which Nick Woltemade converted to double the lead and wrap up the tie. Eddie Howe's men had several more chances to destroy pale Forest entirely, but a tad bit of luck and a couple of excellent saves from Matz Sels added some dignity to this defeat, their fourth since the start of the season.

On the other hand, Crystal Palace recorded their very first domestic loss, surprisingly, despite being 1-0 up at Everton after 75 minutes. Munoz opened the scoring in the first half, but the Eagles not only failed to hold onto that lead but also conceded two late goals to ruin their impressive run. The win would have placed them in second place, toe-to-toe with Liverpool.

Alas, this way, the Toffees got so close to them, but they are now just a point behind with that late comeback. Ndiaye levelled the score from the spot before Jack Grealish luckily turned the game upside down deep into the stoppage time. The experienced midfielder was clever enough to place his foot in the right place for a block of Munoz's clearance, thus scoring a shocking winner.
