Bologna's manager is on the verge of joining the Old Turin Lady, and that's probably the best possible thing that could happen to them
Although this weekend saw Bologna missing a unique opportunity to leapfrog Juventus in the Serie A table and get their hands on the Champions League spot, their coach, Thiago Motta, could actually benefit from it. Indirectly. A sort of...
According to Calciomercato reporter Daniele Longo, the weeks-long negotiations between Juventus' technical director Christian Giuntoli and Motta were fruitful, and the two sides reached a verbal agreement.

Massimiliano Allegri's contract expires in June 2025, but for some time, the Italian media have been announcing his Juve departure, which is now almost certain.
Calciomercato does not provide details related to the agreement of the most trophy-winning Italian club with Motta but emphasizes that a handshake has taken place and that, except in the case of a 'sensational turnaround', the former Italian international of Brazilian origins will arrive to Turin after the end of the season.
Motta's contract with Bologna expires in July, and although the owner insisted on starting negotiations on an extension as soon as possible, the 41-year-old tactician wanted to focus exclusively on the fight for a historic place in the Champions League.
"Will he stay in Bologna? I can't tell you because I'm not negotiating with anyone. You can't talk about things that don't exist. Motta's priority is not his future," said Alessandro Canova, Motta's agent, at the beginning of April.
