All Stars whip Modern Coast to keep promotion dream alive

Tanui's hat-trick inspires Otenga to their ninth win of the season

Former top flight side Kisumu All Stars have scaled to the third slot on the National Super League standings after thumping Modern Coast Rangers 3-0 at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu.

Alfred Tanui was the star of the match as he grabbed an hat-trick to give All Stars their ninth win of the season. 

Tanui found the back of the net in the 24th, 56th and 78th minutes of the game.

Following the win, Salim Babu's charges sit third with 34 points, four adrift of second placed Kenya Police who left it late to rescue a point in their match against Shabana.

Shabana had taken a first half lead through John Musyoka but were unfortunate to have one of their own turn the ball into his own net in the dying minutes of the game.

The former giants who were third prior to kick off drop to fourth while Police consolidate their stay in the second spot.

Nairobi Stima 1-1 Silibwet Leons

Nairobi Stima continued with their quest to evade relegation after playing debutants Silibwet Leons to a one all draw at the Bomet Stadium.

Silibwet had grabbed the lead through Dennis Cheruiyot at the stroke of half an hour but the power men responded through Billy Mustami in the 90th minute.

Murang'a Seal 3-1 Coast Stima

Murang'a Seal made good use of home advantage after putting off Coast Stima 3-1 st the St. Sébastian Park.

A brace from John Kiplangat and a goal from Fabian Adikiny were enough to reduce Dzau Kassim's strike to a mere consolation.

APS Bomet shot down a visiting Soy United by a solitary goal.
