The Cameroonian Bryan Mbeumo and Congolese Yoane Wissa have been one of the most productive attacking duos in European football, scoring almost 70% of Brentford's Premier League goals!
When Brentford's main offensive weapon, Ivan Toney, decided to move to the Saudi side Al-Ahli, many Bees' fans were worried as the Englishman netted 20 Premier League goals in the 2022/2023 season. The following season was challenging for both the club and the player, considering his eight-month suspension, as other players like Bryan Mbeumo, Neal Maupay, or Josh Dasilva had to fill Toney's shoes.
His January return was considered a massive boost for the Bees, and thus, his departure from Gtech Community Stadium in August represented a huge blow - or at least it was believed so... Yet, Toney's "eternal wingman," Mbeumo, decided to take his place and put on the hero cape himself, while getting significant help from his African brother, Yoane Wissa.
Brentford are unbeaten in all eight of their home games across all competitions this season:

In the current season, Brentford are in joint second place regarding the number of goals scored, alongside Man City with 22, only one goal behind Tottenham. Out of the 22 times the Bees have found net in Premier League, their "African duo" of Mbeumo and Wissa has done it 15 times, scoring 68% of all the team's goals!

Since Toney left, the two have combined for as many as 20 goals in all competitions, leading Thomas Frank's crew. Conversely, defence remains Brentford's crucial issue, given that the team conceded as many goals as it scored, causing them to sit in only 11th Premier League position despite the immense efficiency. Yet, their games can never be dull, especially when the African Bees draw their stings out.
