AFC Leopards confirm election and AGM dates

The club will elect a new chairperson in June to succeed Shikanda, who has exhausted his two terms
AFC Leopards has revealed that the club elections, which will usher in a new chairperson in office, will be held on 29 June 2025.
The current executive members were elected in 2022 with their term coming to an end in May 2025.
Outgoing chairman Dan Shikanda confirmed that the club had settled on the date to elect his successor.
"We will indeed have club polls on 29 June," confirmed Shikanda in a telephone interview.
The club insists that the exercise will be exclusively reserved for members, who will have been in Ingwe's books for three months before the communicated dates.
The much-awaited polls will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which, according to the club's constitution, should be held three months before members cast their votes.
“Being an election year an AGM will be held on the 30th of March 2025 at the Nyayo Stadium basketball court,” read a statement posted on the club's Facebook page.
Meanwhile, the former champions are grateful to the Task Force Corporate Committee, which was tasked with laying the foundation for the club's transition from community to corporate setup.
The task force handed over its report upon the expiry of its term.
“The club's NEC officials would like to thank the Task force corporate committee which handed in their report on the 3rd of March 2025 after their 6 months mandate which was to foresee ways in which our club would go corporate. We are grateful for their time and support even as their mandate comes to an end,” read another bit of the statement.
