The Rossoneri are trying to bring in another reinforcement, the player is pressing Porto to let him go

AC Milan spent almost 115,000,000 euros on transfers this summer, strengthened in all lines of the team, but did not finish their shopping yet. The Rossoneri are making maximum efforts to complete the transfer of striker Mehdi Taremi from Porto, who has been on their radar all summer, by the end of the market on Friday.

Although Porto demanded as much as 30,000,000 euros for the Iranian at the beginning of the transfer window, they are now trying to complete the transfer for a sum between 15,000,000 and 20,000,000 euros.

Taremi has been on Milan's wish list since May. But when the Rossoneri brought in offensive reinforcements like Pulisic, Chukwueze and especially center forward Okafor from Salzburg, they seemed to be done with reinforcements in the attack. In July, even their town rivals Inter were the favorite to bring Taremi, but the Nerazzurri later decided on the cheaper Arnautovic because Porto's demands were too high for them.

And the development of the situation in recent days also shows that the Portuguese were unrealistic. Porto first lowered the price to 25,000,000 euros, and now they would reportedly be satisfied with 20,000,000. Why not when Taremi is 31 years old and in the last season of his contract. They will lose him for nothing next summer if they don't sell him now...

From the offer of 12,000,000 euros fixed plus 3,000,000 through bonuses, Milan reached 15,000,000 euros fixed and bonus, the amount of which is unknown, but they could raise the entire transfer to close to 20,000,000 euros. Porto did not receive a better offer this summer...

Taremi and his agents are putting pressure on Porto to agree. According to the previously signed contract, they are also ready to give up 15 percent of the transfer due to them - only for the player to put on the Milan shirt. A final answer from the Portuguese club is expected today. There is not much time because Taremi does not have a European Union passport, which means more complicated paperwork for the final registration. If they want the transfer to go through, the two sides must reach a final agreement today.

In Milan, Taremi would increase the competition for the first-choice striker Olivier Giroud. Although the French veteran opened the season brilliantly, Milan do not want to fall into the trap of last season, when for the most part they only had Giroud as a classic striker due to Ibrahimovic's injury and the abysmal form of Divock Origi, who is expected to leave the club by Friday. Of course, there is also Noah Okafor, but he can play as a second striker and even a winger. The Rossoneri would have a much more powerful attacking line than last season with Taremi in the team.
