A hard day's night: Kun Aguero was in the hospital until morning after struggling to breathe normally

It's as if Barcelona are under some strange curse. Whichever way you look – it's going badly. Financial problems, players leaving, the poor atmosphere in the dressing room, fans protesting just about every move, coach sacking, ninth in La Liga standings… the list goes on. Injuries to their best players is an expected item on the list – but Sergio Aguero's health problem could be a lot more serious than a simple knock.
The former Manchester City striker was keen to make an impact on his first home start for the club on Saturday night, but it ended in agony. At the end of the first half, the Argentine striker won a header in the air but then fell to the turf and looked in immediate discomfort.
In some worrying scenes, Aguero was seen holding his chest and looked to be suffering from breathing problems. A stretcher was brought onto the pitch while the Argentine received medical attention but fortunately, he was able to walk off the pitch.
According to Barcelona's caretaker coach Sergi Barjuan, the 33-year-old experienced light-headedness before having to sit down onto the Camp Nou turf.
"I was told he was feeling a bit dizzy. I have just learned that he was taken to hospital and I can’t say much more until I know."
Not only Barca failed to beat Deportivo Alaves and score a much-needed victory, but Sergi had received yet more bad news towards the end of the game. Gerard Pique has felt some discomfort and has also had to go off. He has left the Camp Nou limping.

The list of injured players for Barcelona is getting ridiculous. Frenkie de Jong, Ansu Fari, Martin Braithwaite, Sergi Roberto, Araujo, Ousmane Dembele and Pedri are all out. Let's hope that Aguero and Pique will soon be feeling well.
There won't be much time for recovery, however, as Barcelona gear up for another Champions League clash as early as Tuesday. Ukrainian team Dynamo Kiev will host the Blaugrana with a spot in the knockout stage still in limbo.
