Despite concerns over an intense heatwave sweeping across Europe, organizers have confirmed that the meeting will proceed as scheduled after making adjustments to the program to ensure the safety of athletes and spectators.
French police had recommended cancelling the event due to soaring temperatures, but World Athletics opted to modify the schedule instead.
Omanyala will once again be in the spotlight as he lines up in a stacked men's 100m field featuring Olympic champion Noah Lyles, former Olympic gold medalist Lamont Marcell Jacobs, South Africa's Akani Simbine, Canada's Andre De Grasse, American Trayvon Bromell, and Great Britain's Jeremiah Azuh.
The Kenyan sprint star heads into the race determined to bounce back after finishing behind Lyles at the Rome Diamond League earlier this month.
Omanyala has openly stated his desire to reverse that result, although he faces arguably the strongest sprint field assembled this season.
Lyles, meanwhile, arrives in Paris in excellent form as he continues his quest for a record seventh Diamond League title in the men's 100m.
After battling injuries during the 2023 campaign, the American has rediscovered his best form, winning his last three 100m races.
He also heads to Paris fresh from setting a world-leading mark over 150 m in Ostrava, making him the favorite to extend his winning streak.
Away from the sprints, Swedish pole vault superstar Armand "Mondo" Duplantis will be looking to return to winning ways after a rare setback.
The world record holder saw his remarkable 20-meeting Diamond League winning streak snapped in Stockholm, where he finished second behind Australia's Kurtis Marschall.
Having also skipped the Oslo meeting for his wedding, Paris presents his first opportunity to regain momentum.
One of the most intriguing storylines will be Femke Bol's transition to the women's 800m.
The Dutch star, who has dominated the 400m hurdles with five consecutive Diamond League titles and 30 straight victories, continues her switch to the two-lap event.
She will take on world leader Audrey Werro, who recently produced the third-fastest women's 800m time in history in Stockholm.
The women's 100m hurdles also promises fireworks, with Nigeria's world record holder Tobi Amusan leading a star-studded field that includes world champion Ditaji Kambundji, American Grace Stark, and Olympic silver medalist Cyrena Samba-Mayela.
Amusan appears to be finding top form after clocking a meeting record of 12.28 seconds in Rabat and will be aiming for another statement performance.
Meanwhile, French favorite Jimmy Gressier will have the backing of the home crowd in the men's 5000m as he seeks another memorable victory.
The reigning Diamond League champion faces stiff competition from Grant Fisher, Andreas Almgren, Birhanu Balew, and Addisu Yihune.
