In the event that will mark the final race before the 2024 Paris Olympics, a number of high profile sprinters have confirmed their participation.
Those who are set to grace the event include British 100m record holder Zharnel Hughes, world silver medalist Letsile Tebogo from Botswana.
Former African 100m record holder Akani Simbine, veteran Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake, his younger compatriot Ackeem Blake.
Also confirmed for the race include the first Welshman to run the 100 metres in under 10 seconds in wind-legal conditions Jeremiah Azu and his fellow countryman Louie Hinchliffe.
The race is scheduled to gun off at 15:52 (EAT) and will bring the curtains down in the London Diamond League that promises to be a cracker.
This will be the first Diamond League meet for Lyles this season after pulling out of the Monaco leg where he was to run in the 200m.
"I'm sorry to announce that I've withdrawn from this Friday's Meeting Herculis EBS in Monaco. The meet is one of my favorites to compete in, and Monaco is one of my favorite places that my career has taken me to."
“My coach, my entire team and I are very pleased with what we were able to achieve at the US Olympic Trials in Eugene, however, in order to put myself in the best possible position to succeed in Paris, we have decided to spend an extra week at our training base in Florida before traveling to Europe. I'll miss competing there on Friday, but I look forward to returning to race in Monaco next year," read Lyles statement.
The last time Lyles set foot at the London Stadium was back in 2023 when he won the 200m in a world leading time of 19.47.
