Michael Johnson votes for the best team uniform for Paris Olympics [PHOTOS]

With almost all nations having unveiled their attire for the 2024 Paris Olympics, American sprint legend Michael Johnson has voted the stylish Mongolian team uniforms as the best kit.

The outfits that have received massive praise from the public were designed by Michel & Amazonka, a Mongolian clothing brand, founded in 2013 by sister designers Yanjindulam (Michel) and Nyamkhand (Amazonka).

The four-time Olympic gold medalist took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to respond to a post by Outlander Magazine who published photos of the unique kit.

“Just go ahead and give them them the🥇 (gold medal) now for best uniform!” wrote Johnson, as he completed his caption with three flame emojis.

This is not the first time that Michel & Amazonka have been behind the Mongolian kits as back in 2019 they won the competition to design the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, Paralympics and Winter Olympics.

So stylish were the designs that the International Olympic Committee (IOC), had the complete coats of the athletes participating in the Winter Olympics donated to the IOC Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The two sisters who formed the company back in 2013 come from a fashion background and draw inspiration of their designs from their mother and grandfather.

“Our mom used to do a lot of nice embroidery. She liked the handcraft kind of things. We inherited her interest in making things more decorative.

“Our mother’s father, our grandfather who was a monk, also inspired us. The stuff that he used wear were very decorative. And on the other hand, our mom, she used to embroider a lot of stuff like pillowcases, even the throw on the bed.

“They were all handmade and embroidered. So, these two people inspired and influenced us more than anyone else,” Michel & Amazonka told Forbes Magazine back in 2019.

With other nations getting their kits horribly wrong, Mongolia seem to win hearts with their fashionable design.
