In December 2025, the second fastest man in Kenya, Mark Otieno, secured a major ambassadorial deal with Oceania-based sports medicine company Rygg.
The partnership will see the three-time national 100m champion, who boasts a personal best of 10.05 seconds, represent the brand on the global stage as it seeks to expand its presence in elite athletics.

For Rygg, the collaboration presents an opportunity to align with an athlete who embodies resilience and elite performance.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Otieno revealed that the deal was driven by his own initiative after discovering the brand online.
“Truth be told, Rygg has been such a blessing. I remember scrolling through Instagram and coming across their products, and immediately thinking I would love to try their ointments,” he said.
The sprinter explained that the company produces two main ointments: one for pre-warm-up and another stronger option for recovery, both certified and free from banned substances, making them suitable for professional athletes.
“I reached out to them to explore a possible partnership and to understand how their products could support me during training. They were very open and supportive. They sent me the products and asked for honest feedback based on my experience,” he added.
Otieno later received four products from the company. He has tested them for over two months and says the results have been impressive.
“I can confidently say they are amazing. They’ve really enhanced how I feel during my preparations, especially during warm-ups. There are times when it’s very cold, and your muscles struggle to fire up, but the ointment helps to activate and loosen them, making it easier to get going,” he explained.
“I’ve now been using the products for two months, and I can already see a significant improvement in my workouts,” he continued.
Beyond the performance benefits, the deal also offers Otieno a financial boost through product sales tied to his personal discount code.
“I get money by selling the products. I do have a code, which is MARK10. The product goes for 3500; there's a big ointment and a small one as well,” he said.
