2025 Wanda Diamond League calendar unveiled

The 2025 Wanda Diamond League season promises to deliver another thrilling series, starting in Xiamen, China, on Saturday 26 April.

The series will span four continents and 13 countries before culminating in the grand finale in Zurich, Switzerland on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 August.

After a record-breaking season wrapped up in Brussels, Belgium last year, athletes and fans are gearing up for another action-packed campaign that will see the world’s best compete across 14 prestigious one-day meetings.

The season kicks off with back-to-back events in China, with Xiamen hosting the opener on Saturday 26 April, followed by Shanghai/Suzhou on Saturday 3 May.

The action then moves to Doha and Rabat before Europe takes centre stage with the first meeting in Rome on Friday 6 June.

Athletics powerhouses will compete in Oslo, Stockholm, and Paris before crossing the Atlantic to Eugene, Monaco, and London in July.

The series then enters the final stretch with events in Silesia, Lausanne, and Brussels, leading to the much-anticipated Wanda Diamond League Final in Zurich.

For the first time since 2022, Zurich will host the series finale, where the 32 Wanda Diamond League champions will be crowned.

Winners will take home the coveted Diamond Trophy and a share of a record $9.24 million (Ksh1,194,270,000) prize pool.

The 2025 Wanda Diamond League continues to provide a platform for the full spectrum of track and field disciplines.

Each event will feature disciplines staged between four and seven times, giving athletes worldwide ample opportunities to qualify for the Zurich Final.

With the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo scheduled for September, the Wanda Diamond League also serves as an ideal preparatory stage for athletes looking to fine-tune their performances ahead of the year’s major global event.

The Wanda Diamond League is the elite one-day meeting series in athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field, crossing four continents and 13 different countries to reach athletics fans in all corners of the world.

In 32 different disciplines, athletes compete for points at the 14 series meetings in a bid to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final, which will be held in Zurich on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 August 2025.
