Two yellow cards for the Kenyan side saw Hong Kong capitalized on their numerical advantage to dominate possession and territory

Kenya Under-20 rugby team, Chipu, concluded their World Junior Trophy campaign with a disappointing 34-14 loss to Hong Kong.

This defeat marked their fourth consecutive loss in the tournament, placing them at the bottom of the standings.

The match, played at Hive Stadium in Scotland saw Chipu take an early lead with tries from Eugene Ojiambo and Andy Cole Omollo.

However, a determined Hong Kong side staged a remarkable comeback, outscoring Kenya 34-7 in the second half.

Chipu’s discipline was a major factor in the match, as they conceded two yellow cards. Hong Kong capitalized on their numerical advantage to dominate possession and territory.

Despite valiant efforts from the Kenyan side, they were unable to contain the Hong Kong attack.

The result is a bitter pill to swallow for Chipu, who had shown glimpses of promise in the tournament. The team will need to regroup and focus on rebuilding for future competitions.
