This year's Christie 7s marks the third leg of the 2025 National 7s Circuit.
In Pool A, freshly-crowned Prinsloo 7s champions Strathmore Leos will be the team to watch.
They are grouped with hosts Kenya Harlequin, Zetech Oaks, and coast-based invitees Mombasa SC.
Pool B will see in-form Catholic Monks, who finished third in Nakuru, take on Nakuru RFC, Impala, and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) Rugby, a side eager to impress after being handed an invitation.
Pool C is arguably the “Pool of Death” as Menengai Oilers, Kabras RFC, the defending Christie 7s champions, Daystar Falcons, and Uganda’s Ruga Ruga Select go head-to-head in what promises to be a thrilling contest.
In Pool D, powerhouse KCB Rugby will take on Mwamba RFC, Nondies, and newly-promoted Blak Blad.
Blad earned their place in the top tier after winning the Division Two title at the Prinsloo 7s.
Hosts Kenya Harlequin will be hoping to capitalise on home advantage and finally reach the semifinals in this year’s circuit.
So far, they have managed sixth-place finishes at both the Driftwood 7s and Prinsloo 7s, falling short against the likes of Menengai Oilers and Nakuru RFC.
With the pool draw offering a fair chance and the crowd behind them, Quins will be eyeing a strong comeback and a deeper run in their own backyard.
