Top guns unscathed in rugby 7s Nairobi School games

Reigning Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) rugby sevens champions Upper Hill School's title defense was off to a perfect start after winning all their matches in Day 1 to book a place in the quarters.
The school games which are at the regional stage will see two learning institutions book a place in the Nationals that are set for Nakuru on Thursday 8 to Sunday 13 September.
Upper Hill started the day with a morale boosting 27-0 win over St Mary's School who have fallen off their rugby pedestal they had conquered in yesteryears.
The rugby powerhouse followed up their win over Saints with a 29-0 over Kangemi High School and closed the day with a 7-27 whitewash over arch rivals Aquinas High School.
Ofafa Jericho High School who were arguably the most impressive side in Day 1, obliterated opponents starting with a 24-0 thumping Kibra High School and annihilated Eastleigh High School 41-0.
The reigning Prescott Cup champions wrapped up their Day 1 with a 28-14 win over Dagoretti High School, clash that lived up to it's billing as it was without a doubt one of the standout matches in the tournament.
Hosts Lenana School also finished Day 1 unscathed following 15-5 win over Jamhuri High School, 22-0 win over Lang'ata High School and signed off with a 34-0 win over a hapless Garden Estate School.
Traditional powerhouses Nairobi School also enjoyed an impressive Day 1 which kicked off with a 38-0 win over Our Lady of Fatima and concluded with a 34-7 won over Sunshine School.
