The victory saw the Law Enforcers book a place in the semifinals.

The match, originally scheduled to kick off at 4:00 pm, started at 5:30 pm after the referee raised safety concerns over the state of the ambulance, which lacked a neck brace. Both teams were forced to warm up for close to 90 minutes as the issue was resolved.

Once underway, Administration Police asserted early dominance, spending prolonged periods in Mean Machine’s red zone, although they initially failed to convert pressure into points.

Against the run of play, Mean Machine struck first through lively scrum-half Shamala Duncan, who delighted the home fans with a well-worked try. The conversion attempt, however, drifted wide.

The score seemed to spark Administration Police into life. They responded with sustained pressure and were rewarded when Lenny Miani crossed the whitewash, with Ephraim Papai adding the extras to hand the visitors the lead.

Mean Machine hit back soon after, as Nick Okong’o finished off a flowing move for their second try. Gabriel Okello converted to restore the students’ advantage.

However, lapses in discipline proved costly for Mean Machine. Administration Police capitalised on successive infringements, Papai calmly slotting two back-to-back penalties to ensure the visitors headed into the break with a narrow lead.

The second half was closely fought, with both sides cancelling each other out in a tense defensive battle. Neither team managed to add to their tally, and Administration Police held on for a 13–12 win at full-time.

Elsewhere in the Mwamba Cup, NYS Spades suffered a narrow 15–13 defeat to Sigalagala at the NYS Grounds.

Enterprise Cup

In the Enterprise Cup, Strathmore Leos overcame a slow start to defeat Zetech Oaks 32–17 at the Strathmore Leos Complex, booking a place in the semifinals. The win marked a strong response after last weekend’s 72–18 Kenya Cup loss to KCB Rugby.

At the RFUEA Grounds, Kenya Harlequin also advanced to the Enterprise Cup semifinals following a convincing 29–5 victory over Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) Monks.

Notably, only two of the eight scheduled Enterprise Cup fixtures were played, raising concerns over the competitiveness and logistical challenges facing the once-vibrant competition.
