Reading Time: 2min | Fri. 08.04.22. | 19:50
Shujaa have three games on Saturday against the USA, South Africa and Canada.
Kenya national men’s 7s side, Shujaa will be hoping to replicate the 2016 heroics when they return to Singapore but face a daunting task having been pooled alongside South Africa, the USA and Canada.
Innocent Simiyu’s charges have been blowing hot and cold this season after getting to the Cup quarters in both Dubai legs of the tournament Malaga and Seville proved chaotic.
Our squad that departed for Singapore landed safely on Monday.

Having more than three months to prepare for the Singapore 7s, Shujaa will be confident of upsetting the scorecard when they open the tournament against the USA on Saturday at 7:12 am.
Despite going into Singapore 7s this weekend, Shujaa will have one eye on the Rugby Africa 7s championship that doubles up as the 2022 Rugby 7s World Cup qualifier.
"We are in a very competitive pool in Singapore and we obviously want to improve on our performances from the last outing in Spain.
Our key focus for this month is the World Cup qualifier. We believe that we have prepared well enough for Singapore and Vancouver and to be able to qualify for the World Cup. Our training has been on areas that have been an Achilles heel and starting from Singapore, we hope that we can start finding the consistency that we need going forward," Simiyu said in a past interview.
Shujaa will begin their Singapore 7s campaign with a clash against the USA, before taking on South Africa and Canada in their subsequent Pool A fixtures at the tournament.
