Shujaa won their opening pool A game by thrashing Nigeria Stallions 60-0

Innocent Simiyu's charges braved the cold weather to get off the mark earlier on in the game through Herman Humwa who touched down with the simplest of tries from a botched Stallions line out from the five meter line.

Alvin "Buffa' Otieno had a quintessential Alvin Otieno try as he used his brute strength to plough through to the touchline despite three Stallion players trying to prevent him from getting to the try box.
Johnstone Olindi also got into the act as he finished off a run from Otieno to dummy the Stallions defense and touchdown.
Eish! Silky play by Johnston Olindi out there. Great to see him back after missing the 2021 HSBC Series
