Shujaa hit Uganda again in Rugby Solidarity 7s

After ending day one with a defeat against South Africa, Shujaa bounced back to winning ways on the opening game of day two

 Kenya national sevens side, Shujaa, got back to winning ways, thrashing neighbours Uganda 31-7 in the final pool match staged at Stellenbosch,South Africa in the second tournament of the Rugby Africa Solidarity Sevens.

Two tries from Billy Odhiambo and a try apiece from Herman Humwa, Daniel Taabu and Levy Amunga ensured Shujaa continued their dominance over the Uganda Cranes.

Billy Odhiambo easily beat his markers after a penalty to score the opening try of the game. Odiambo then got his second try of the game after Collins Injera picked the ball from the scrum, attacked Uganda’s blindside and passed to Odhiambo who crossed over the white line for Shujaa's second.

Injera then linked up with Tony Omondi who put Herman Humwa through for the third try that was successfully converted for a 19-0 lead. Nobert Okeny got the consolation try for Uganda just before the half time break for a 19-7 score.

In the second half, Daniel Taabu ran down the full length of the pitch from his own 22 to score the fourth try of the game. The fifth and final try of the game, which was successfully converted, was scored by Levy Amunga for a final 31-7 score line.

Shujaa will now face Blitzboks in the final ranking match at 1:10pm EAT.
