Kenya will face Scotland in the Challenge Cup on Saturday.

The national men's rugby 7s side, Shujaa will have to wait for another four years to realize their dream if being crown word champions after they were bundled out of the 2022 Rugby Sevens World Cup following a 22-7 to Argentina at the Round of 16 hurdle.

Kenya will now drop to the Challenge Cup after the tournament again adopted the straight knock out format and will face Scotland on Saturday 10 September in a 1:37 pm kick off.

Damian McGrath side kicked off their campaign with a convincing 19-0 win over Tonga courtesy of tries from Willy Ambaka, Vincent Onyala and skipper Nelson Oyoo.

Against Argentina who are a different beast, coming off a fourth place finish at the HSBC World Rugby Seven Series, Kenya struggled to get going as the Los Pumas took only three minutes to register their first try of the game through Matias Osadczuk who touched down at the corner after fending off a tackle from Oyoo.

The South Americans profited from a man advantage after Johnston Olindi was sent to the bin for preventing a kick restart from Argentina when a penalty was called as he failed to release the ball following a tackle.

An overload on the left flank birthed Argentina's second try of the game as Tobias Wade touched down to hand them a 10-0 as they could not find their kick boots again with the conversion.

Straight from the restart, Argentina found their third try of the first half with their quick hands again created an overload on the leaky left channel as this time it was De La Vega who got his name on the try list as Santiago Gomez's side went into the break with a 15-0 lead.

Damian McGrath had some stern words for his charged at half time which was evident from the bright start as KCB RFC's Vincent Onyala produced a marvelous pirouette to fool the Argentina defense as he ran the entire length of the pitch to touch down between the sticks.

Argentina however polished up their scoreline when Alejo Lavayén sliced through the Kenya defense and crossed the white wash to ensure their progression to the quarters.
