
Rugby mid-season transfer deadline set

The mid-season rugby transfer window will close on Monday 6 January.
Kenyan rugby clubs have until Monday 6 January 2022 chop and change their squads after the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) released a communication.
All rugby action in the country took a three-week recess due to the festive period leagues expected to resume on 8 January 2021 at the very earliest.

KRU sent a communiqué to all Chairmen of Clubs in Membership of Kenya Rugby about the mid-season transfer dates.
“As per the Kenya Rugby Regulations (11 11.2), There shall be a mid-season window open for fourteen (14) days mid-season.
As per above kindly note that the Leagues and Fixtures Committee declared the mid-season transfer window be from December 23rd 2021-January 6th 2022 at 11:59 pm,” read part of the statement.

The Union asked clubs to adhere to KRU transfer regulations especially regarding completion of transfers.
A number of sides will look to galvanise their squads after a torrid start to the season with the likes of Mwamba, Impala and Top Fry Nakuru with a single win.
