Administration Police have taken in the now former Homeboyz RFC Coach Oscar Okaron as their new coach.

Okaron’s first role will be to return AP back to their Championship level which they missed out on last season following a 9-3 loss to Kitale RFC in the quarterfinals.

Breaking the news on their social media handles, the club said; “We introduce our new coach officially. Welcome to your new home Okaron Oscar. May God see you through this journey. Welcome on-board Sir, congratulations once again,” read the statement.

Prior to his new job at Administration Police, the tactician had led Homeboyz RFC to finish ninth in the regular season during the concluded 15s season.

Okaron is not new to developing clubs from scratch to excellence.

He was part of the team that formed Koyonzo Rugby and saw them win the 2022 KSSSA 7s. He was part of the coaching team that saw Kakamega High School win the KSSSA 7s and 15s titles in 2012 and 2013.

In addition, he coached Busia Borderucks during the 2021/22 season.

It is safe to say that Administration Police are in safe hands following this announcement.

Elsewhere, Kenya Rugby Union Vice Chairman Moses Ndale has been appointed to the Rugby Committee of the continental governing body. The former KCB RFC player floored Peris Mukoko 20 votes to 11 in the recently held Kenya Rugby Union elections to defend his seat.
