Four teams are still in contention for the title.
Prinsloo 7s champions, Menengai Oilers have the National Sevens Circuit title in their hands heading into the sixth and final leg in Kakamega as they lead the standings with a four-point buffer.
The Gibson Weru-led side handed themselves a shot in the arm by winning the penultimate leg of circuit in their own backyard to ascend to the summit of the log with 94 points.
KCB who were the log leaders heading into Prinsloo 7s shot themselves in the foot as finishing fourth and surrendered their lead in the standings as they now have 90 points after finishing fourth.
Christie 7s champions Strathmore Leos who were the losing finalists in Prinsloo are still very much in contention for the title despite trailing log leaders Oilers by nine points but will rely on results elsewhere if they are to stand a chance.
Homeboyz RFC who were the Dala 7s champions stand an outside chance of lifting the title but will need a miracle and hope for poor performances from teams ahead of them in the log.
Oilers are currently the most inform side in the circuit having booked a place in the last three finals of Driftwood, Dala and most recently Prinsloo.
The Kakamega 7s which is hosted by Western Bulls will take place on Saturday 16th July to Sunday 17th July.
