Impala now move to the bottom of the pile and need to win their match with a bonus point and hope for other teams to lose if they are to stay in the top flight
Record Kenya Cup champions Nondescripts RFC left it late as they showed a spirited performance in picking a narrow 20-18 comeback victory against Resolution Impala Saracens to keep alive their hopes of maintaining their top flight status heading into the final round of fixtures of the regular season.
On the other side, Impala were left with a mountain to climb as they fell to the bottom of the pile despite picking a losing point that only helped postpone their almost doomed fate in the top tier league.
Trailing 13-18 with less than ten minutes to spare, Nondies managed to find a successfully converted try as they just saw out the contest 20-18 to pick a vital win that could define their season.

In the match however, it is Impala who drew first blood after dominating the opening exchanges of the game.
From a perfectly executed lineout, the 10 time Kenya Cup champions dotted down after a powerful rolling maul to take a 0-5 lead following Quinto Ongo's missed the conversion attempt.
Ongo however managed to atone for his earlier miss as he extended the lead for his side when he drilled in a penalty given to the team.
Ill discipline would however come to hurt the Oscar Osir coached side as they picked three different yellow cards within a space of fifteen minutes.
At one point, they were reduced to 13 men and Nondies needed no more invitation as they capitalized on their numbers advantage to get themselves on the scoring act.

Just before the halfway break, they had a glorious chance on the outside on a 2v1 situation but Moses Begi failed to find his winger with the try line just begging, Impala just managing to weather the storm as they went into the break with a three point lead.

Upon the resumption of the second half, the same old mistakes came to hurt Impala yet again as they were reduced to 14 men upon a penalty infringement that allowed Nondies to restore parity as Kanyiri Kariuki slotted in a penalty.
After a period of sustained pressure from Nondies, Impala managed to get back on the scoreboard as they got a successfully converted try to once again steal a 8-15 lead but a small lapse in concentration immediately after allowed Nondies to easily cut down the lead to 13-15 after the easiest of tries against their defense that only watched.
Ongo, from a penalty, managed to restore their five point buffer with a penalty but a late converted try from Nondies ensured the 17 time winners just stole the win right under the noses of Impala who move to the bottom of the pile.
Following the defeat, Impala now move to the bottom of the pile and need to win their last match with a bonus point while they hope that other teams lose if they are to stay in the top flight
