This year, Kisumu RFC are back under the tutelage of Howard Okwemba.
The Lakeside outfit is among several sides confirmed for the tournament, which promises an action-packed day of rugby.

Tournament director Walter Orangi explained that the competition was renamed the Rao Odinga Cup in honor of the late Raila Amolo Odinga, who passed away on Wednesday, 15 October, at the age of 80.
The veteran opposition leader died at Devamatha Hospital in Koothattukulam, Kerala, India, after suffering a cardiac arrest during a morning walk while undergoing medical treatment at an Ayurvedic facility.
According to Orangi, the tournament seeks to relive Odinga’s memories and celebrate his connection to the sport.
“As the founder, it is my honor to welcome you all to our upcoming tournament. This year, we have prepared exciting action both on and off the pitch, ensuring an unforgettable experience for fans, families, and visitors.
This edition is especially meaningful as we celebrate and honor our fallen hero, Raila Odinga, whose legacy continues to inspire unity, resilience, and excellence,” he stated.
Orangi emphasized that the event will remain family-friendly, with pocket-friendly ticket prices to allow more fans to attend during the festive season.
“This remains a family-friendly event, and we have ensured that our tickets are pocket-friendly so that everyone can be part of the festivities during this wonderful Christmas period. Gusii Stadium is the place to be!” he continued.
He also extended invitations to various groups, including the Shabana fraternity, local fans, corporate partners, area leaders, and politicians, urging them to support the tournament and the community.
“To our local fans, come cheer for your local boys and show love to our visiting teams from across the country. To the corporate community, we appreciate your continued support, and we still welcome more corporate partners to join us and help elevate this great event,” he added.
Regular tickets will go for a friendly Kshs 200, VIP for Kshs1,000, and VVIP for Kshs3,000. Students will only pay KSh100 to access the venue.
