Mwamba RFC head coach Kevin Wambua believes his team is on the right track in their rebuilding phase.
Mwamba RFC are enduring a disastrous start to the Kenya Cup after suffering back to back losses but head coach Kevin Wambua is pleading for patience as the side is currently in a rebuilding phase.
Kulabu has suffered losses against promoted sides Blak Blad and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) with the latter coming on Saturday as they went down 6-12.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport after the defeat to MMUST, Wambua revealed that his side is undergoing a transition with his squad mostly comprised of rookies.
"I do not have any pressure, this is a rebuilding season for Mwamba, we have a lot of players who have decided to sit on the sidelines for personal reasons which is understandable so for us this is a rebuilding season most of my players have not even played Kenya Cup before."
"I know it will take time, yes I'm disappointed about the loss but we are definitely not out yet, we know we will get better, these boys need more games, they need to lose so that they can know what it takes to win and also they need to win so that they can avoid losing so for me it is part of the process, Rome was not built over night it will take some time but I believe we are on the right path," said Wambua.

Mwamba sits eighth on the log with two points after bonus points in the two games having lost to points within seven points as they lost 17-24 against Blak Blad last weekend.
Wambua however admitted that the defeat against MMUST who had not picked up a win in their opening two matches left him dejected as they now search for their first win of the season.
"I'm very disappointed in the loss but with that said I pick some positives with how we want to press this season, I have seen a bit more improvement in terms of our structure just that our execution and decision making that is a bit wanting and I also need my boys to get fitter," added Wambua.
Mwamba next face Impala Saracens on Saturday 27 March.
