16 teams will be battling for main cup honours in the two day event

Hello and good morning from a wet RFUEA Grounds. If it is Saturday, then you know it is rugby day!

After a successful season opening George Mwangi Kabeberi 7s last weekend, the second outing of the 2022 National Sevens Circuit is the Christie 7s taking place at the RFUEA Grounds on Saturday and Sunday. If last weekend is anything to go by, then we are in for a treat!

Mozzart Sport will be your ultimate guide on the ground. Giving you all the updates on happenings as they unfold. Just before we dive in, here is everything you need to know about the oldest 7s club tournament in the land.

Christie Sevens Div 1 Pools

Pool A: KCB, Topfry Nakuru, Kenya Harlequin, JumiaPay Pirates

Pool B: Strathmore Leos, Daystar Falcons, Blak Blad, Impala

Pool C: Menengai Oilers, Masinde Muliro, Kabras Sugar, Nondescripts

Pool D: Homeboyz, Mwamba, Western Bulls, Catholic Monks

Hosts Kenya Harlequin get the ball rolling against Topfry Nakuru.

Pool A.

Game 1 - Kenya Harlequin 26-12 Nakuru

Game 2 - KCB 32-7 South Coast Pirates.

The Bankers get the perfect liftoff for their title defense in their first game. They thrash the coastal side for their first pool win.

Pool B

Daystar Falcons 21 - 5 Blak Blad

Strathmore Leos 36-0 Impala

Kabeberi 7s losing finalists are here to play again and they are showing their intentions nice and early in game 1 as they thrash the gazelles.

Pool C

Kabras Sugar 14-12 MMUST

Kabras manage to get a win in their first game of the day unlike last weekend where they were defeated in their opening two games and dropped out of main cup contention.

Menengai Oilers 19-7 Nondies

Kabeberi 7s bronze finishers Oilers are up and running in their first game of the season.

Mwamba 25-5 Western Bulls

Homeboyz 49-10

Homeboyz close round one action in some style. There will be a ten minutes break before teams resume for their second pool matches.

Round 2 gets underway

Pool A

Topfry Nakuru 27-12 South Coast Pirates

Wanyore secure their first win of the tournament after going down against KCB in their opener.

KCB 19-5 Quins

A much improved Quins stretched the defending champions but their efforts were just not enough. 2/2 wins for the breezing Bankers.

Pool B

Impala 24-12 Daystar Falcons

Tables have turned here. Impala grab a first win in their second match while Falcons taste defeat. Still all to play for in this group.

Strathmore Leos 34-0 Blak Blad

Another huge win for Leos who get the bragging rights in the varsity derby. 2/2 wins for the Louis Kisia coached side and into the main cup quarters they go.

Pool C

Nondies 19-17 MMUST

Kabras 36-7 Oilers

The sugarmillers are on a roll here. They pick their second consecutive win and with that they secure their place in the main cup quarter finals tomorrow.

Pool D

Mwamba 12-7 Monks

Western Bulls 14-12 Homeboyz

Round 2 comes to a close with the first shocker of the day as Bulls beat last weekend's bronze finishers.

KCB 21-10 Nakuru

Impala 31-14 Blak Blad

Strathmore Leos 24-5 Daystar Falcons
