Kabras Sugar is brimming on confidence after a 56-0 win against debutants MMUST in the season opener
Strathmore Leos head coach Louis Kisia is confident that his team can cause a headache if not get the job done when they face off with Kabras Sugar on matchday 2 of the Kenya Cup at Impala club.
Leos come into the game after putting up a spirited fight against reigning champions KCB last weekend but narrowly succumbing to a late second-half resurgence to lose 24-16 to The Bankers.

Kisia reiterated that his Leos side, who are making their return to the top tier after being relegated last season, are no pushovers as they have already shown in the narrow loss to KCB. The coach went on to state that he does not expect an easy game against the Enterprise Cup winners.
”Definitely it is a big game against another big boy after the run against KCB last weekend. But for starters this season we are looking at performance rather than the outcome. The performance against KCB was a notch higher to the best of their abilities because I always believe if you give good performance then the outcome will always take care of itself. Many people expected KCB to give us a whooping but that was not the case,” he noted.
Kabras come into the tie brimming in confidence after securing the Sisimka Charity Cup in the league’s curtain-raiser and thrashing MMUST 56-0 in their season opener. The head coach expects a very tough game but is hoping his side will come through the game unscathed should they put into practice the areas they have polished in training during the week.
“When they play (Kabras) they always bring their A-game, so we’ll definitely have to be at the top of our game. We have worked on our lineouts which were a bit wanting against KCB. So if the boys execute it well then it’s going to be easy for us,” he said.
The match kicks off at 1600 EAT.
