Strathmore Leos are hoping to continue their impressive run of form when they take on Top Fry Nakuru.

On form Strathmore Leos take on Top Fry Nakuru while Nondescripts lock horns with Blakblad at the RFUEA Grounds while MMUST face Kenya Harlequin in Nandi.

Leos vs Top Fry Nakuru

Strathmore Leos have gathered some steam after a torrid start to the season coming from behind to force a 20-20 draw against Kenya Harlequin and picking up back to back wins against Blakblad and Nondies.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Leos coach Louis Kisia revealed that the match against Nakuru brings the derby feel but will be without two players in the clash.

“We are taking one game at a time, so far so good, the boys have gelled well and have gotten into the system well. We are expecting fireworks because over the years the Nakuru game has been like a derby and we hope to bank on the good form,”

“One of our rookies, Raymond Chacha twisted his ankle and is out for a week, we also have Max Omondi who is our utility player that can play in the forwards and the back row is out with a big toe injury,” Kisia.

Nakuru has not been in the best of forms, throwing away a lead to see Impala Saracens grab victory, drawing against Mwamba and losing the Nakuru derby against Menengai Oilers.

Kickoff: 1 pm RFUEA Ground

Nondies vs Blakblad

Record Kenya Cup champions Nondescripts picked up their first win of the season last weekend when they beat Kenya Harlequin after they were thumped in their first match of the season against KCB.

Blakblad have been enduring a bad patch of form losing to Leos, Kabras Sugar, KCB with their win against Mwamba now looking like a distant memory.

Blad coach Motto Williams admitted that the clash will not be a walk in the park but is hoping to bank on some impressive head-to-head form against Nondies.

“Playing Nondies has never been easy especially in the last five years because we have had our players joining Nondies, we managed to beat them a number of times recently but this is a rugby ball that can bounce irregularly.”

“Nondies are strong in set-pieces especially in scrummages, they also don’t have a strong bench but my boys have not had 100% turn out in training due to commitments, I lost Brain Wahinya and I will rest Arcadias Khwesa and Lionel Ekesa will also miss the match,” said Motto.

Kickoff: 3 pm, RFUEA

MMUST vs Kenya Harlequin

Two of the most inconsistent sides face off in the first of the Nandi Bears doubleheader with Harlequin gifting Nondies their first win of the season last time out.

Quins picked up a draw against Leos back in June and suffered a heavy 5-43 loss against 2016 champions Kabras with their last victory against Impala Saracens coming back in March.

Since claiming the scalp of Mwamba, MMUST have now suffered defeats against Oilers, KCB but returned to beat Impala Saracens last time out.

Kickoff: 12 pm, Nandi Bears
