The Bankers were made to sweat for their victory.

Reigning Impala Floodlit champions KCB RFC punched a fourth successive ticket to the final of the tournament after claiming a hard fought 14-3 win over Kenyatta University's Blak Blad who showed some resilience and determination in the encounter.

The Bankers earned a place in the last four of the tournament following an entertaining 14-10 win over Kenya Harlequin while Blad stunned last season's Kenya Cup semi finalists Strathmore Leos 21-20.

Just like their quarter finals, the first half of the semis was a closely fought battle with Blad's Lionel Ajeliti drilling a penalty in the opening 10 minutes to draw first blood in the game.

It took long for KCB to get their groove but when they finally did Peter Waitwe powered through the Blad defense line to touch down with Isaac Njoroge adding the extras to lead the game 7-3 heading to the half time break.

Blad posted a mirror start to the second half but they could not get points on board as Ajeliti missed a penalty from an angle and denied the Bankers a try just meters from the try box.

Blad were punished for not taking their chances as KCB's relentless pressure finally paid off with Brian Wahinya touching down and Njoroge adding the extras for a 14-3 lead.

That is how things ended in the breath taking semi finals as KCB will now play Nondies in the finals on Saturday 12 November.
