The Western-based side managed to pick up their fourth straight bonus-point win to ensure they will stay top of the log no matter results elsewhere
Despite being made to work hard for their fourth straight win in the 2021/2022 Kenya Cup campaign, Kabras Sugar were handed an early Christmas present as they maintained their unbeaten start to the season in brushing aside a resilient Resolution Impala Saracens 12-24 to ensure they stay top of the log table heading into the rugby break over the festive period.
In the match played at Impala Grounds on Saturday afternoon, the last season league runners up were forced to enter second gear in the second half as a stubborn Impala had largely kept them out in the first interval.

By half time, the Jerome Muller coached side lead 3-12 after managing only two tries.
In the first twenty minutes, the deadlock remained intact as Impala proved that they came to play. However, Kabras managed to find the opening try of the game as Hillary Mwanjilwa successfully evaded his defenders before crossing over the Whiteline to give his side a 0-5 lead following an unsuccessful conversion.
Fighting for a first win this season though, Impala managed to reduce the deficit as Quinto Ongo cleanly converted a penalty awarded to the team.
Just before the break though, Ephraim Oduor show massive strength as he powered his way to the try line after some patient build-up by Kabras to take the team into the break with a 3-12 lead as Ntabeni Dukisa added the twos with a successful conversion.
In the second half, the home side came out guns blazing but it only proved to be a matter of time before Kabras assumed control again.

While Impala managed to add to their score through three penalties, the sugarmen found pockets of space on the right-hand side as Derrick Ashihundu, on two occasions, raced to the try line after the Impala defence was well beaten to land his brace in the match.
The scores got to 12-24 after one conversion was successful and the other was missed. That is how the game would conclude as Kabras picked their fourth straight bonus-point win.
