False start for Shujaa in Dubai 7s
Reading Time: 2min | Fri. 03.12.21. | 09:52
Shujaa have two games in Pool B to ensure they make the main cup quarters.
Kenya men’s national sevens side, Shujaa again failed to get off to a perfect start after losing out to Australia 21-14 in the Dubai 7s II tournament on Friday 3 December.
The game was not beamed live as Shujaa's clash was staged in pitch two that was not on the broadcast schedule with Fiji's encounter against France enjoying coverage.
Shujaa had a lethargic start to the game as they conceded a try inside the opening two minutes of the game through Henry Huchison to put Australia 7-0 ahead after a successful conversion.

Kenya drew level three minutes later through Alvin Otieno who added onto his tally after claiming three tries last weekend with Anthony Omondi adding the extras.
Australia however went into the halftime break with a 14-7 lead courtesy of a try from Corey Toole two minutes into injury time.
Toole picked up from where he left from in the first half as he touched down again to put Australia in a commanding 21-7 lead three two minutes after the restart of the second half.

Johnstone Olindi set up a nervy finish to the game with a try three minutes to the full-time whistle as he went on to convert his own try to make it a one-score game.
Australia however held on for the win as Shujaa’s poor start in Dubai extends to the second weekend but Innocent Simiyu will hope to pick up a win when they take on the USA at 1:20 PM (EAT).
